Just the garden(updated pics)
    #2961148 - 08/03/04 07:01 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

Now that we've established the mix up, here some more pics of garden.

Here is a pic of a small Rivea plant hugging a bent bird feeder hanger. I love how dark green and glossy the leaves are. Anyone know how to make it flower? You can also spy a little nasturium to the left and spaghetti squash in the upper right. You can just barely spot a few stringless bush bean leaves in the top right corner, more of my veggies and such later.

Here is one of my flower beds. Wishbone flowers all around, white and red salvia splotched in the middle and lemon balm in the front. There is some orange mint in there too. The tree in the center is sweet olive. Probably about 7 or 8 years old. Smells absolutely awesome.

Here is some purple basil along side of sweet basil. I really adore the dark purple. Flavor is on target too

I like to let my canteloupe go a little crazy and crawl on my deck. It's always wonderful to have canteloupes growing right on the wood deck.

This is a little melon called Moon and stars. Got these from Seeds of Change and I must say they are spectacular to see. The yellow splotches are not disease but just a trait of the strain. The melons are round dark green and speckled with orange and yellow circles. Very Awesome, even though it might be too late for him :frown:

Here is a snap of some soy beans in the front and arugala on the back of the same row. Bush beans to the left and a small spy of some Eel river muskmelon to the right.

It's all organic too. I love it. Yet more pics to come.

Thanks Organic!

I should also note that the dagga ceased having that "wild dagga" smell after the flowers appeared.

That top photo doesn't look like any dagga I've seen. I have a few varieties growing including one that put out purple flowers but with dagga type leaves. Those leaves there are spike leaves like a palm would have or century plant, something like that. It's probably a good one to have, I just never saw one like that.

The plant lacks any height which is why it might look a little off. I will try to get closer detail photos to represent the stalk growth. Your purple flowered dagga is known as siberian mother wort.

Uh... I don't think that's dagga. Flowers look nothing like dagga, neither do the leaves.

I'm in agreement with those who don't think it's Wild Dagga, I don't think it's an Leonorus species at all.

I third or fourth the notion that that is a false clasifacation.

I suppose I may have mixed my seedlings up. The more I look at pics of wild dagga the more this seems improbable. The mix up shocks me, but I trust in you guy's on this. It's just very odd.
