yea i got Gnats..... i hate Gnats!!!!!  these little boogers are invading my greenhouse, flying around tripping balls! seriously, these gnats do not move and fly like they should, but does anyone know of a chemical i can spray on my casings, that is mycellium safe?
    i am starting to become at harmony with them, they don't eat much, but one flew up my nose ther other day.... AND THAT'S THE LAST STRAW!!!! you fuckers are dead!!!!    :mad:

This is an effective and cheap way to coral them in easily. Red wine works nicely too. Just leave about an inch of apple cider vinegar in the open bottle and they'll pile in. Put the bottle somewhere foot traffic won't disturb it...

HAHA the nose part...Yeah, I hate those things. Vinegar would be your best bet.

pyrethrin is safe to use. It's an aerosol knockdown spray. It will breakdown in a few hours to CO2 and something else harmless. Because of this though, it leaves no residual, and will not kill larva that have HATCHED INSIDE YOUR CASINGS.

yea, definately not sealed.... i have a 4 tier mini greenhouse, from target.com, it's open on the bottom, but i have it sitting on a tub lid. as for the spray that breaks down to co2. I don't think i need more co2 in my greenhouse than is already in there.... goin with the apple cider vinegar trick. seems cheap and easy

It works well, but don't put the bottle inside your green house. Have it somewhere outside of it were they'll dive in before they reach your chamber. If the gnats have invaded your substrates already, more than likely your way too late and you'll have to start anew...

yes... they are all inside, haven't seen any outside really... all the casings i have in there are on the 5th flush anyway, so they are damn near depleted anyway.... i gotta take that greenhouse outside and hose her down anyway..... she could use a good shower. got some new ones coming in in about a week.
(any disadvantages for putting it inside the greenhouse? like smell or vapors leaking into my casing trays? anything that'll slow growth?)

You don't want to spray chemicals all over your networks, they're fragile. Get some diatomaceous earth to mix in with the casing layer.
