Theoretically yes.  However in practice, intentionally
subversive actions are frowned upon in this community and
even if there is no specific rule, the fact that you have noted
the potential to exploit loopholes will result in little to no
leniency given to you in such matters.

The right?  Why do you feel thats going to have a positive outcome for S&P?

Regarding vertigo, shroomism might have something to say but i think the rules are clear,

Quote:
1) No Flaming
-- Flaming hurts others. Flaming is an instance where one individual directly attacks another. A person's character is undermined, or their beliefs and worldview are undermined, in a visibly hurtful manner. In flaming, it is clear that the intent is to hurt. If you can't state your case or refute someone else's case without calling them "stupid" or an "idiot"..etc...Then don't bother posting here. This forum is for intelligent discussion, not to try to belittle someone that doesn't think like you. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED ... If you have been warned already, you will receive a temporary ban, if you continue to flame you will be banned permanently...choose your words wisely or suffer the consequences.

First a warning, then a temp ban. It's written, those are the rules.
One can argue about if flaming repeatedly 6 times gets automatically a ban. I also made myself that question. But the thing is there's absolutely no clear reference on how act, the reference on the rules deal with the temp ban, the warning rule is mentioned as a predisposition and can be interpreted in many ways. I decided to make just a warning as i was dealing with a non regular user which maybe had no knowledge about the rules, i gave him the benefit of the doubt, PMed him explaining the situation, believing he could adopt a more positive attitude without the drama of a ban.

Please, don't flame or insult anyone ,anymore ,or you'll be baned next time.
I know sometimes it's difficult to keep a clear mind after someone has contradicted your position. But that doesn't give you the right to insult anyone. Look, regarding that thread, i hear you and i mostly agree with your reasoning. But if you want to keep posting at S&P, you must obey the rules first.

Thank you,
MAIA

I felt my threads were meaningful to the S&P otherwise I would not have posted them....if I was only able to post them by finding a loop hole...then exploiting it would be useful in my opinion.

What again was exactly wrong with the nature of my threads? All I remember is being told to stop playing childish games. That in its self could be looked at as flaming in my opinion.

I got banned because offense was taken when it should not have been (misunderstanding).

S&P discussion. [Re: MJF]
    #4737735 -

Also.....does anyone know of this posting after the thread is closed "gliche"? Because I have a feeling I was lied to. If it is a gliche it is only a glitche for a moderator and is still a poor excuse. MAIA posted after threads were closed...IMO so that he could get the last word in...and to rub it in our faces. I had a thread open before it was closed and when clicking post it would not allow me to post and say it was locked. Maybe I am mistaken here...but even if it was a mistake MAIA's posts after the closing of a thread should be deleted. Has any non mod been able to post after the closing of a thread?

If I remember right those flames were left undeleted at least for quite a long time. So no one could tell any action was taken. I never understood that and still haven't gotten an explanation. Why would anyone leave those posts undeleted for so long if not forever?

My logical conclusion would be because they know they are doing something wrong and they do not care.

If ya'll (the mods) do not care or have become sick of our complaints....then quit and let someone else take your position.

You should go back through your PM's or Email (not sure which one the notices are sent to) to view the locking notice for the threads that were closed.  They explain why each closure took place, and yet you continued to create similar threads.

More than one staff member has explained this to you I'm sure (at least, I know I did!).  When a thread is closed inside a forum, both the administrators and the forum moderator(s) still have write access to the threads, in case they need to edit offending material after the locking has taken place.  Upon locking a thread, the link to the "reply" screen is removed from the thread itself, however if the forum moderator or administrator was already at the reply screen before the thread was closed, the write permissions will allow their post to go through upon submission, even after the thread was locked.

MAIA was actively posting when all of this was taking place this morning, so it shouldn't be a surprise and certainly not a conspiracy that some of the locked threads end with his posts.  If you look through the locked threads in WA&F, you'll notice this has happened before with other administrators and moderators.  I just can't believe you are making such a big deal out of this, and to suggest that myself and MAIA are outright lying to you about it.  Come on man, have a little faith.

I believe that most of your complaints have already been addressed. It is not our problem if you are unsatisfied with our response. Never will everbody be happy and rejoicing, so you might as well save your time and quit it with the accusatory statements like the whole "lying" thing I refuted above. Demanding that the moderators step down for others to take their place is not going to get you anywhere.

I didn't accuse you of lying...I said "I have a feeling I was lied to."

Regardless....the admins and mods should not be able to post material regarding the thread topic after it is closed.

You called it a glitch before and now it is clear that it is a privilege that only mods or admins have and a lot of times (not saying you do) when people have power they take advantage of it.

Re: S&P discussion. [Re: MJF]

Why not? If you are comfortable in the validity of your argument,
then you should not take offense to someone else expressing
their view of the situation, even if you cannot then respond to
it. As if your argument is truly valid, people should be able to
see that without further retort even if a dissenting opinion had
the last word.
