what to put in my LC

I was tossing some jars of caseing mix into my pressure cooker (MAN i'm glad i upgraded to a 21 qt!!) and figured i had plenty of extra room... so i whipped up a 1/2 pint jar of LC made with 100 cc's of water, a little squirt of honey, and a little squirt of karo lite.
the jar lid has 2 holes stuffed with polyfill.

I dont have any spore syringes made at the moment (but it would take me about 5 minutes to make one)
I have two trays of ban phang ka that just started pinning today.


could i use a little piece of one of my ban phang ka pins to start a LC?
will my LC stay good for a few days while my pins mature so i can select the best mushroom to clone?
should i whip up a spore syringe and squirt some spores in there instead?

in my opinion , whip up a spore syringe, less chance of contamination as long as you syringes are pretty sterile. you could use a piece of a pin, i dont see why not, you can use a piece of a mature cap or a piece of the mycelium also.
