LC's for those stingy with their syringes. Or cloning straight to a LC

This is for those who value their spore syringes like the liquid gold they are. Make up 2 LC jars, easier to mix up a large amount to the correct sugar % then pour a small bit, say 20-50ml into one jar and the other 200-500ml in another jar. Then squirt 1/4cc into the smaller jar. When it starts to grow suck some up and squirt into the bigger jar.
IME squirting small amounts into a large jar causes a long delay in myc growth starting (if at all). When I add to smaller jars it always starts within 3 days. I figure the spores are more concentrated in the smaller jar so find a mate easier. I also reason that it is better not to shake the jars after adding spore water until you have visible growth (shake before adding spores to aerate). The reasoning there is that any clumps of spores will be stuck together and find a mate faster, if you did shake they will disperse too much. I never had success adding tissue to an LC, but if it is grown on agar I have. If you add a tiny amount of LC I think it will work the same way as the agar since the tissue will be fully exposed to air while wetted by LC too. At the moment I have some tissue in straight 3% h2o2, there is a bit clinging to the side of the jar out of the h2o2 which is showing good growth, while the stuff in the h2o2 is brown and dead looking.
This is a common procedure in brewing, creating a concentrated starter yeast culture which is added to a larger batch of beer/wine. I have also read of starter cultures in big LC reactor vats.

Hmmm....this sounds like a good theory....I think it will help me out, I always use a small amount of spores in large LC's and growth isnt so great. Smaller jars have gotten me better growth though, or more spores...I dont like to waste them though...
