I found them in the lower pennisula of Michigan, West side...approx. 30 miles from Lake Michigan. They were out front of my apartment complex in a bunch of wood mulch where some bushes grow. There is still a good amount growing where I got them from, though I did grab a bunch of them in a mad dash because the last thing I need is people suspecting me of...uh...doing what I'd like to do with them.

I'm not noticing any real "bluening", however they are getting black around the edges where they were white. As I look through them all I'm curious as to whether or not I actually may have two, quite similar looking species. I certainly don't trust myself to differentiate...which sucks. I have a feeling some of these might be cyanescens but I am certainly no expert. Some of the edges curve up and as I've done a few more spore prints I've noticed they are definitely black (also they seem to leave behind some green on the white paper). Snails seem to love 'em...hopefully they are trippin' lil' snail ballz!

black spores and growth in woodchips make me think Psathyrella, just a guess though...

 there will be no blueing for those mushrooms...they're non-actives.

Toss em.
