Amanita muscaria var. formosa / Yellow Fly Agaric - Michigan

I found the following in Michigan (central lower peninsula). My dad has been teaching me about mushrooms for the past 15 years (he has PHD in chemistry and seems rather knowledgeable) and I think I got them right. They all have detached gills, remnants of a universal veil, concentric rings on the stem above the bulb and are yellow in color.
Does anyone think these are not Amanita muscaria var. formosa?
I don't think they are A. pantherina because I'm in the "east" and the veil remnants wash off with running water. I don't think they are "death caps" because of some pictures I looked at and they are not "nauseating in odor".
I've found the following dosages:
Light 1 - 5 grams Medium 5 - 10 grams Strong 10 - 30 grams
Does that sound ok?
I read I should dry them and then heat them to ~190 deg F for 2 hours to destroy certain nauseating alkaloids. Does that sound right? Should I heat them right before consumption them or is it ok to heat them all at once, after they are dried, and then store them for months?.

Cleaned and Drying:

Thanks for your help.

I believe your ID is correct, stems look white, beware of A. flavoconia which has yellow on the stem and will normally bruse a orage/red. I know they are not Panthera's, but not because of your location, I found some Pantheras this month in SE MN which is geographically close.

i'm from michigan too there are HUNDREDS of those things that grow in the woods by my cottage i identified them as A. muscaria var. guessowii http://pluto.njcc.com/~ret/amanita/species/muscgues.html
i've never eaten any but i love to hunt for them i think they are supposed to be a little stronger than regular A. muscaria so be careful if you eat em

wow, those look so similar to the formosa. I'm guessing it doesn't really matter if I get one or the other.
I've noticed there are lots of these in my area this year. I collected the stems from the ones in the state forest to throw in the park by me. When I got to the park, I found out there were more of them waiting to be picked.
Also thanks for the link and info, Androctonus and MasonsChild.
I dried them under a fan for two days and then baked them at 190 for 2 hours. I'm going to eat 5 grams tomorrow and test them out.
If I make it, I'll let everyone know how they worked. I'm going on a couple hour hike to enjoy some nature.
