The actions of the pub moderators are a direct result of the attack behavior expressed by a few determined individuals. The average pub mod and pub member just wants to be able to post in peace.

I got banned from the pub for an "indefinite" period for "baiting" which I dind't do and partly because of a post I had made in otd. I didn't even bait anyone I just made a comment that green day sucks and when someone told me to fuck off, I simply clicked the notify moderator button. The person who flamed me was banned only for 24 hours Then I made a post about about what happened in otd because someone made one in the pub about the incident complaining and I wanted to start my own thread about it without stiring up any more drama in the pub. In my thread I admited to clicking the notify mod button.

The mod that banned me said I was baiting which I was not then said I was "tatteling" because I used the notify mod button. If it's tatteling then what in the world is the button there for? I feel like I was unfairly targeted as someone that posts in both forums and goes to the pub just to stir up shit. I do not do that and the majority of my posts have been in the pub. All have been without incident untill now.

I made a supporter ticket yesterday and have yet to get a response. I feel that what happened doesn't warrant a permanant ban from the pub and that I should be allowed back. I am aware that Idefinite doesn't mean permanent but the mod didn't tell me how long or what route to take to be allowed back. The person who I supposedly baited doesn't even have a problem with me so I don't see where anyone was hurt in this.

I don't understand why people have to get so INVOLVED in this kind of stuff?

If something happens in the Pub and you run over to OTD and make a new thread about it, chances are....you're going to get some kind of administrative backhand. If you can't figure out how things work without being taken by the hand like an infant, we can't help you.

The rules are posted in each individual forum. The moderators are not here to pick on you and bully you and make your experience here at the Shroomery shitty. Beleive it or not, we've put in our time. We actually care about this community and it's future. We're here because WE GIVE A FUCK.

I know, it's really hard to beleive.... but it's true.

It's not us against them. We're all in this together. Fuck.

I see posts in otd about happenings in the pub all the time. Thats isn't against the rules that I read. Also baiting is really subjective to someones opinion how can someone say that it was my intent to get someone to lash out at me? When all I was doing is expressing an opinion and not flaming anyone.

I didn't say that the mods weren't here to help or that they were out to get us. I just feel that what had happened doesn't warant an indefinite ban. All I was asking for is a second chance. Not trying to bash any mods.

Mods ARE subjective.

Don't look so surprised... it is our job to look at a thread and make a decision with our evil, subjective, little minds.

Who ever said Mods aren't subjective... or can't be?

If the rules are subjective... and Admins endorse the rules... isn't it a Mod's job to enforce subjective rules?

If you don't like subjective Moderation, don't post in a forum with subjective rules. And don't blame the Mods for doing their job. It is nothing personal.

So that deserves an indefinite ban? When I have never been banned from any forum in the 4 years I have been here? How does one go about getting a ban lifted? Asking an admin?

Asking an Admin politely, in a support ticket, would be a good start.

A brown nose may help too.

If you were banned from The Pub, you may wish to politely PM a Mod. With Forum bans, people can sometimes just forget to lift them. Site wide bans are lifted automatically... not so with Forum bans.

And be prepared to be told, "No".

No one. The issue is when subjective decisions are consistenly made based on prejudice and assumptions, and inconsistent 'punishment' is given to members bearing no distinguishable differences in the offense.

It probably doesn't help the us vs them mentality when parties from both sides with no issue or part in the argument pop in with their 2 cents for their team.

No, he did not say that deserves an indefinite ban. But there will always be incidents where mods and the banned one will not agree, because mods are subjective.

PM a Pub mod or an admin, I'm sure you will get a second chance if you are as clean as you said.
