Can someone please help me get to that illusive level 5 trip?

Okay fellow shroomers, here's the deal. I trip just about every weekend and double dose with 3.5-4 grams per dose. I'm a fairly big guy at 218 pounds, not fat mind you, so I need a fairly large dose to be at the level I want to be at. The problem is that I have never reached a trip that has exceeded a level 3 when compared to this guide.

I enjoy the long hard trip and typically start around 11-12 in the day and end up hitting the sack around 2-3 in the morning. Now that is with 3 doses, which usually turns out sloppy.

I here some people talking about having a level 5 trip with doses that only bring me to a level 3. Obviously I need to increase the dosage, but to what extent? When does mushroom ingestion become too much and wasteful?

I really want to here from the experienced people on this one. People who have taken massive doses or done some experiments. I'm preparing for a nice day long trip with some PR on Saturday, so any help is much appreciated.

Well I found that 8 grams puts me around that level. If you eat 10 grams at once I am fairly certain you will acheive the mind fuck you so desire.

Have you found that taking a larger dose at a single sitting lasts as long as a double dose? I want a mind fuck of a trip, but I still want that trip to last for a fairly long time.

When I eat a large dose like 8 grams (large for me anyway), I trip out hard for a solid 6-8 hours. I ate 70 grams wet one time, dosed at about midnight and the drive home at 7 in the morning I kept having to get out of the car and make sure it wasn't somehow driving with two flat tires b/c my vision was slanted. Like I was driving parallel to the top of a hill on the slope....very weird. The looks and beeping of horns when I got out on the highway to look at my tires, blocking traffic, har har.
P.S. Don't drive while tripping!

smoke some salvia while on em itll blow all reality away and in my opinion (after salvia trip wheres off) strengthens the shroom trip for about an hour and makes it very intense.

if you want to do it on mushrooms you could try taking them with an MAOI like syrian rue. you have to be careful with MAOI's as they can twack your system up if you take them with certain foods. They basically take away your bodys ability to break down tryptamines and similar compounds so the mushies just keep kicking you ass. a fictional person i know took a 2 grams of mushrooms and 4 grams ground rue which made for one of the deepest experiences they have had, much longer too. it might just be the thing to put you over that threshold. just make sure to do your homework first because MAOI's arnt something to just mess around with.

Dosing low with an MAOI would put ya' there for sure, good idea.
But RATM6 is right; MAOI's can be dangerous, and you should do some research.

With maois you need to read up for shure, and itll blow your mind, but its far different than streight shrooms. 8 grams should do it for you though. Ive never taken that much cause my physiology doesnt allow it. But Ive tripped much harder off of ayahuasca and it cost me around 10 dollars.
I think some peoples idea of tripping hard is different than others even when considering how different peoples tolerances are.
You, I hope, are not wanting to get physicaly/psychologicaly sick
The trip you may be looking for is likely along those lines. The same line that exists in the realm of psychological torture before passing out. My point is, you want to hear and see what your experiencing, not get retarded

Maois and Dmt(ayahuasca) allows for a smoother and safe passage to the realms that you seem to be talking about. That level 5 talk means nothing in the way of doseage for many people.

Fast for 12 hrs. Grind 3-4g Syrian Rue. Swallow with citrus juice, or load into capsules. Hold back possible urge to puke. 45 minutes later consume 4-5g of the psilocybe of your chooosing.

For me it comes on in about half the time of just eating mushrooms alone.

Agreed Ratman6. It will put you out there, and in a different way, also. Not for casual usage, IMHO.

the easiest way to attain a level 5 trip is to allow yourself to, you can eat pounds of mushrooms but as long as you hold on to reality you aren't going to level 5. you will probably not remember much, like a dream, if you do get there.

I can guarentee if u eat 100 grams ... ull reach level 5... err im making up a level... ull reach level 6

OK, LIsten UP augustin 7. These people, though well meaning, are misleading you as to how to aquire a level 5 trip.

To get to level 5, its not about the amount you take, though taking large amounts is a prerequisite, its about your mental capacity to enter into the "level 5 zone". Its not something your going to do by accident, and if you do, your very lucky, its something you have to train yourself mentally for, kinda like entering the void while meditating. Basically to get to level 5 (god, i feel like im giving video game advice), you need to let yourself get to level 5. Taking a whole lotta shrooms (7g's +) may, and probably will, lead to a very bad out of control experience.

Please dont take an maoi with shrooms, this alters the shroom trip and makes it difficult to enjoy.

i agree with Puppet1 and others that it is much more in your mind then the chem's you take. maoi's and such just allow for a strong trip, not nessisarly level 5. can spend your whole life tripping and never hit 5.

in my opinion maoi's dont make shrooms hard to enjoy, but they do significantly alter the experience.
