Fruiting problems with B+

Hello there everyone,
My friend has been having problems getting his B+ to fruit. He knows that sounds crazy but its true! This is the first time that my friend has tried the B+ and everything was going just great, really fast mycelium colonization and everything (roughly 15 days) He's using brown rice flour/verm. in 1/2 pint jars. 3 of the jars were cased, 2 were left in cake form in the terrarium. Ok, so the case and 2 cakes have been in the trerrarium (perlite humidification) for over a week now and i still dont see ANY pins forming at all. So wierd considering how well everything has been going up to this point. Tonight they're going to be left out in the garage to cold shock everything for like 24 hours so hopefully that will help. Does anyone have any ideas as to why there would be no fruiting going on? All of the paramaters are good. The one thing i was thinking was perhaps that the jars were colonized at the same temp as they're trying to get fruited under so perhaps the cakes and case dont know what to do? I dunno...
Thanks for any input!!

My B+ just started pinning today, after 8 days.
Be patient.

Hey again,
ok, well i came across MeltingPenguin's thread "steril B+" which was posted on Nov. 18 and this is what he said:
"Damn, these shrooms suck, one of them grew to about two inches before the veil broke. the rset are still pin sized. Lots of abhorts, and Guess what, no spores, plain white gills, with nothing in them. LAME!
They where supposed to be B+ with multi-spore innoc
but they ended up being F- muli-crap innoc "
so this is just great, we both got our spored from T.H.E. at practically the same time and everything, is it possible that we got a bad batch or something like that?
talk to ya later!

PS. Think T.H.E would replace the syringes free of charge?

My experience with the b+ was good. They pinned and fruited quick and plentifully.I did notice however that they were not the densest fruits, almost hollow inside.

Very true about the hollow insides. B+ do however make up for that in their size. They tend to be slow to fruit. Try not to overload them with different tecniques to make them fruit. You may postpone the cakes even longer by doing so.
These were grown by a friend. They are B+ from The Hawks Eye.
Substrate: Brown Rice Whole
Cased: Wheat Straw( Pasturized)-in a compost tea-

Hmm,I suppose anythings possible.I would be curious to know how many others may have experienced this during the same time period.I have had nothing but good results with the spores I got from The Hawk.

Hawk puts numbers on all his syringes. So he would be able to I.D. the batch pretty easily.

Its not a bad batch - its in the genetics of B+ to give off sterile fruits from time to time and some other shape shifters...

i've got a tone of rye and birdseed as well as a DB kit all collonized from B+ i got from the hawk. It's been 9 days for the smaller casings, not the DB kit. no pins as of yet. I just cold shocked the hell out of the casing though. we'll see.
