Maz Fruiting Problem
    #494621 - 12/18/01 08:16 AM (23 years, 3 months ago)

Im farely new to this. Ive done 12 PF style cakes of Matias Romero and 12 Mazatec. All colonized very slow, nearly a month in 1/2 pint jars. Ive only 3 Maz left fruiting and one is having a spaz attack.
I cold shocked and drowned these for 12 hours before first flush. Two have flushed twice since and the last began fruiting, but has halted. Thick veins of mycelium are extending outward from all over the cakes especially into the perlite. The primordia hasnt grown at all, but theyve not abhorted even at 2 weeks old!!
Anyone have any idea what the hell this fungus thinks its doing??

Yeah - if its too moist then mycelium will form but shrooms wont - even all over a casing. So maybe the humidity and water levels in the perlite are too high .

I actually dont know but I have read alot and what I have said seems to be true .

:)

i would say clean it up completely and dunk it again for 12-18 hours. that is if you hadnt dunked it since the preflush dunk.
