Girlfreind in jail on DUI, need advice on developing situation...

Her parents know, and are willing to bail her out. She hasn't been booked yet, apparently but I will keep calling the jail untill I get some information. I want her out of there quickly, but I'm even having problems finding out where to go...

After drinking at a football game, her last drink at 5pm, she was going out for pizza. Several detours took her to a road she normally doesn't travel. Attempting to turn around she missed the side road and crashed into a ditch. Her car was towed, she was interviewed preliminarily by a university cop that passed her off to state patrol. He administered a breathalizer test, which I believe she failed by the way she held herself. He administed an eye test *follow this light as best you can* and made to walk a line. She did badly on this test and that was apparently the reason for her taking it so many times. The officer knew what he was looking for, but was probably just making the evidence sound.

I worry about her; she's not the most stable person in the world. But I love her and am actually considered getting arrested for indescent exposure just to be booked with her. Does anyone know of a lesser arrestable crime?

Any advice or support is appreciated.

Tell her not to drink and drive, and getting yourself arrested is even stupider. She'll be out before the day is over, if she has a ride.

my advice would be not to get arrested because you would not be in holding with her men and women are held in seperate areas just wait to bail her out

Just wait it out, she should be out of there soon enough. It's the legal consequences she should be worried about.

Ha man I have a friend who is exactly like you. Every girlfriend he goes out with, he proclaims hes madly in love with her and will die for her. Anyways, just chill out man, maturity is important in this case.

Don't get yourself arrested... Take control of the situation. What's bad can be worse so take it easy! Where was she booked, Athens? I'll give you a call, you must be at home so pick up so I don't wake the rents up!!!

a friend of mine was arrested for possession of extacy, the cop also knew what
he was looking for because he took a 'drug recognition' course, what he failed to
recognize was the fact that irradiated iodine used on people that have thyroid
problems causes many of the same effects as extacy, nysagmus included...
his nickname is twitch for a good reason.

if she's a minor and the breathalyzer showed any amount of alcohol, it'll stick
as an adult anything over .08 is also a DUI, get her a decent lawyer, one in
Gwinnett that deals with drug and alcohol cases can either represent her or
give you a referal to someone in your area that can, his name is Wayne Burnaine

he got the charges against Twitch and another friend (sold acid to a cop) dropped

After crashing into a ditch drunk off of her ass, she should have walked away and then dealt with it in the morning so that she wouldn't be arrested for a DUI.

she should be fine, just needs a good lawyer.
if it's her first offense she should be fine

lots of times it can be worked out with a little fine and some community service.

He should have called me so I could have come down there with my truck and towed her out.... I don't know why they didn't.

She should have refused to breath. It is easier to plead out to a lesser charge without the breath test. Loose your license for a longer period of time but you can avoid other shit. If it is her first offense she will be fine. Under 21 and she will lose her license for a decent amount of time, over 21, probably a year max. Not sure on each state though.

A friend of mine refused a breathalyzer and got his license suspended for a year because of just that.

Yeah, I was suprised to see this shit comming from SH.

...jail is cake buddy, your gf will be fine. Worst case scenario -

she doesnt get much sleep because they leave the god damn lights on in the cell.
