A question for Ryche Hawk

At this point I'm using the mushroom growing guide that is found on your page. However, the guide doesn't make it very clear as to whether or not you're supposed to break up the cakes when you put them into the terrarium or if you're supposed to leave them whole. So my question to you then.... well... which is it? Whole or broken up?

If you put them in whole, do you place them right next to eachother, or do you leave space between the cakes?

Also, although the guide says it's optional to install the drip shield if you're using the ultra sonic humidifier setup, do you think it's necessary? I've chosen to not go with it, and I'm wondering if it'll be all right without it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope you dont cruble You just put them in whole

2)Use perlite it a whole lot cheaper and works great :)
