Pulling programs

I am on a campus and one of my classes demands that i have powerpoint in order to print out lectures. My computer didn't come with it and it is a very expensive program. Is there anyway i can pull the program from another computer onto a memory stick. Or is there anywhere online where i can get it?

Nah, you probably can't just grab it off of another computer like that.

However, there is a copy of it floating around the internet. It's easiest if you try to download the whole Microsoft Office suite, not just Powerpoint alone.

Look on the standard P2P networks and you might come across it.

You are probably entitled to licenses of all Microsoft Office software if your school uses or requires it. Check with someone on campus.

Well there is another problem, I would have easily grabbed it off of limewire or something but my school also has a firewall that restricts P2P programs. Where can i get a copy online not from a P2P site?

Ask that teacher of the class that you can't afford it right now because of finacial instability...They'll be more than happy to give you a copy with a serial for free or by an extremely discounted price than the orginal....trust me

Do they limit bittorrent programs?

You can use that and www.thepiratebay.org to download it on.

install and try openoffice. it is free.
