Soo true ive been through many hurricanes as well living in the carribean(but they have proper houses there i.e cement) and florida. even got hit by the same hurricane twice..dont ask lol

anyway even category 3 was enough to have a peice of sheet metal cut a coconut tree in half and have it land in my sisters room. and coconut trees are HARD.

This is one ballsy move by Cortez but I full on respect it and am rather envious of his situation - Call me crazy but that is  L-I-V-I-N.

I hope he is okay. The storm is all up in his face, right now. I live in Birmingham and the bands are already reaching over here! This is a truly enormous storm that is very well developed. Alot of people are going to be directly and indirectly affected by Katrina. My thoughts are going out to the Big Easy and surrounding areas.

I bet he is okay. It does look pretty bad on CNN. They said some people could be without power for a month.

We are already getting some of the outer bands of it. On CNN FEME said they are helping mississippi and lousiana and are preparing to help the Tennessee/Ohio valley. Makes me wonder what to expest my way.
