Well i just paid $2.80/gal for fuckin gas... How are the prices aroudn where you are? i'm near chicago,IL

I can remember gas being .99 a gallon for premium only a few years ago in northern Va

Man oh man gas prices are frustrating.

Last time I filled up I paid $2.67/gallon at a cash only station

I wish I could say fuck cars, but then summertime would suck for me. I love driving and travelling and going to shows and festivals. On top of that, I really don't like public transportation, especially now that they are akin to 'No Constitutional Rights Zones'.

My next car will definitely be a hybrid, but when you think about it, gas prices have doubled in the past few years. Gas mileage on a hybrid has roughly doubled as well, so it kind of cancels itself out.

Yep, its $2.81 here in Southern NC. I remember being able to fill up for about $12, now for that much I'm lucky if I get a quarter of a tank.

I miss driving and being able to go wherever the hell I want whenever the hell I want to.. but I still manage to get everywhere I need to.. and rides to and from festivals is easy.

Yeah you're probably right Shroomism. I'm too stuck in an f'ing "I need a car" mentality. I'm going to meditate on how much I really need a car later. God knows I could really use the extra cash. $110/mo. for insurance sucks ass.

I'm assuming you could just public transportation, well that is if your town has any.  Mine doesn't :frown:.

Some people just cant function in society though without a car. Most people.
I'm just a freak. But if I was back home public transportation wouldn't be a problem. But I'm not back home.

Nah, theres no public transportation in my town, which is another issue altogether.  But like I said, I don't really like public transportation.  Buses are okay. I'm thinking of moving out to Colorado, though, possibly Boulder.  So out there it wouldn't be a problem.

what the car companies need to do is put those hybrid engines in normal looking cars.

The only reason noone is buying them is because they are UGLY.
