Obviously and independant film, but it had that psychological effect along with the gore. Great movie.


Cube is barely a horror movie anyway. It's an existential drama in the guise of a sci-fi horror movie. and it's fucking BRILLIANT!

Six people wake up in a humongous structure that is comprised of rooms which are cubes. On each of the six sides of the cubes is a door to another cube. They have to find their way out.

It's funny how people kill to get fame and reconition.

When a simple country nut named Ed Gein killed for reasons nothing like fame and got more than three movies loosely based on his killings.

yeah the old texas chainsaw massacre is much better than the new one, but the new one is pretty good for new horror movies too. the old is definitely a lot scarier if you have an imagination. if you're one of those people who thinks everything in movies looks fake, and you complain a lot about the acting, then the new one is more for you. if you have a good imagination, the old one is where it's at.

yea the vast majority of new horror movies suck. there's a few good ones though. house of 1000 corpses was awesome, had the feel of an old horror movie with a really big carnival feel to it. devils rejects was good too, except it wasn't much of a horror movie. it's a lot more of an extremely violent and shocking bonnie and clyde type movie. high tension looks like a good newer horror movie, although i haven't seen it. they're doing a remake of the hills have eyes, which if done right could be pretty good.

i've always loved 70s and 80s horror though. the first 4 friday the 13ths, first 3 nightmare on elm streets, first 2 halloweens, 1st texas chainsaw, the fog(the original, not the PG-13 remake coming out in october), they're all better than anything than anything that's coming out nowadays.
