Cold Shocking?

How do you do this?

I just want to make sure, ive been told to put the cake in cold water and put it in the frig for 1 day and then take it out and put it back in the terranium

PLease explain everything

You don't need to put them in water. Grab the cake (remember to be very clean), put it inside a clean plastic bag and put bag inside fridge for about 12 hours. If you can move your terrarium, just put it outside with cakes and everything over night, if it's cold outside at night that is.

Sounds to me like you are confusing dunking with cold shocking. Dunking a cake in water for at least 12 hours then gently dabbing off the excess water droplets with a paper towel and replacing in the terrarium will usually make a cake that is reluctant to fruit or dinky flushes come to life !
