a song that describes you
    #4565136 -

what song do you think best describes "you"? whether it describes how you feel about yourself or what other people think about you,it doesnt matter. Currently the song that best decribes how i feel is the song creep by radiohead.

let's see some lyrics... heres mine.

When you were here before
Couldn?t look you in the eye
You?re just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
And I wish I was special
You?re so fuckin? special

But I?m a creep, I?m a weirdo.
What the hell am I doing here?
I don?t belong here.

I don?t care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I?m not around
You?re so fuckin? special
I wish I was special

But I?m a creep, I?m a weirdo.
What the hell am I doing here?
I don?t belong here.

She?s running out again,
She?s running out
She?s run run run running out...

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You?re so fuckin? special
I wish I was special...

But I?m a creep, I?m a weirdo,
What the hell am I doing here?
I don?t belong here.
I don?t belong here.

My Spidey Senses is tingling
i Feel something, i got my radars up

Something going on, I feel funny, can't tell me nothing's different
My nose twitchin, Intuition setting in like Sti Vision
I still close my eyes, I still see visions
Still hear that voice in the back of my mind
So what I do, I still take heed, I still listen
I still paint that perfect picture
I still shine bright like a prism
My words still skippin, through air
I know you can't don't won't get it
You square chose to ride that shit, u fault with it, I'm still afloat
I ain't the captain of the yacht but I'm on the boat
I ain't acting like i knock knowing that I don't
You niggaz acting like you will but I know you won't
Man I read between the lines of the eyes of ya brows
Your handshake ain't matchin your smile

[Chorus]
I can feel it in the air
I can feel it in the air
(I don't know man, I just feel something)
I can hear it in your voice
(Something ain't right man)
I can feel it in the air

I sit alone in my four cornered room staring at hammers
Ready to go bananas, two vests on me
Two uzis, extra clips on me
I know my mind ain't playin tricks on me
I ain't schitz homie
Ain't nobody dropped a nick on me
Its like they trying to pop sum shit on me
I hear this voice in the back of my mind
Like Mack, tighten up your circle
Before they hurt you, read they body language
85% communication non-verbal
85% swear they know you
10% you know they stories
Man the other 5, time'll show you
Just know you been pulling strings
You the puppetmaster, fuck them other bastards
Now watch who you puffin after
Play your cards, go against all odds
Shoot for the moon, if you miss, you still amongst those stars

chorus

Can you feel the grim reaper floatin?
Foul preacher quotin' scriptures from revelation
Talkin shit and got tha devil waiting
Body getting stiff, soul levitation
Why do I speak blasphemy?
Knowing one day they will ask for me
As for my sins
No one will feel his wrath for me
I go through it so you wouldnt do it after me
As for me, I'm still circling the block before I'm parking
Not bitchin, I'm just still cautious
Same black parker
Same uzi, extra clip, still clappin wit that same marker
Damn I feel it in tha air u not sincere
it ain't an us or a we or an honor thing
Its a good bad karma thing
Its a solemn and an honest thing
I swear I feel something honestly

chorus

Ha. When I downloaded that song on Ares it was labeled as a Grateful Dead song. My friend and I busted out that song a lot after watching Fear and Loathing and we both decided that it was definitely not the Grateful Dead singing.

Ares has so many songs that are labeled with the incorrect artist that it is ridiculous.

The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize?

Do you realize
that you have the most beautiful face
Do you realize
we're floating in space
Do you realize
that happiness makes you cry
Do you realize
that everyone you know someday will die

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes
let them know you realize
that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world
spinning round

Do you realize
oh oh oh
Do you realize
that everyone you know
Someday will die

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Do you realize
that you have the most beautiful face
Do you realize

Well, DO you???

May not be like me all the time, but sometimes I do have those feelings.
Well, its mainly when I'm with my girl.

Dead Kennedys - Chickenshit Conformist

Quote:
Punk's not dead
It just deserves to die
When it becomes another stale cartoon
A close-minded, self-centered social club
Ideas don't matter, it's who you know
If the music's gotten boring
It's because of the people
Who want everyone to sound the same
Who drive bright people out
Of our so-called scene
'Til all that's left Is just a meaningless fad
Hardcore formulas are dogshit
Change and caring are what's real
Is this a state of mind
Or just another label
The joy and hope of an alternative
Have become its own cliche
A hairstyle's not a lifestyle
Imagine Sid Vicious at 35
Who needs a scene
Scared to love and to feel
Judging everythng
By loud fast rules appeal

IMO, each music genre has an aspect that it plays out best. (Black) Metal/Electronica is the most melodic, Rap has the best rhythm, hardcore is nice and chunky, gets you nice and riled up, but Punk Rock has the best lyrics. Hands down. While I am not a 'punk', I definetely have the mindset, and I love it how Jello Biafra puts it in 'Nazi Punks, Fuck Off':

Quote:
Punk's not some religious cult
Punk means thinking for yourself!
It's not hardcore if your spike your hair
If a jock still lives inside your head!

And now DK is suing Biafra for copyright infringement, what a sad story. At least we still have the genius of Stza of Leftover crack.

Another song that I feel describes me, even though it has virtually no lyrics, is Diving Moments of Truth, by Shpongle. I've listened to it every time I tripped, and not tripped, and am a huge fan of the band, and Simon Posford.

Every time I trip and hear it, I just feel like Im passing through the doors to another dimension, like I just had yet another revelation, and am now a more knowledgeable person. I just wish they'd play live...I would give my nut to see them.
