I have that book as well, but it only mentions that mushroom in passing. I would recommend that you buy Paul Stamets "Psilocybin mushrooms of the world". This goes a lot more in depth about the type of mushrooms that you are concerned with. I think that the blue ring is on the stem.

Okay this is fucking absurd. I dont even know where to begin. For 1 psilocybe stunzii has 2 full color pictures in the book which you both speak of, if you look in the index in the back under "Psilocbye stunzii" you will be able to find them as well as a description of that mushroom, any idiot should be able to find that. Second, there are numerous sources on the internet, including this very webpage that has multiple picture of psilocbye stunzii as well as descriptions. I dont quiet understand why you wouldnt take interest enough in these mushrooms to put even the slightest amount of research into finding pictures of them on your own. Are you hunting these mushrooms?? I am just dumbfounded. This is not the way mushroom hunting is done.

I'm not hunting these mushrooms at all. I was just trying to help someone figure out what type of mushrooms they were talking about. And as far as them being in the book, I was looking in a different mushroom book at the time. Oh well this doesn't really have anything to do with me.

Hello, Nobodycares42! I am extremely happy to have read this thread! If not, I would have never known that a mushroom called "Blue Ringer" existed! I will now have to add that to my list! I am a mushroom hunter in Washington and before your awesome information, I had only known of Cupies and Liberty Craps! Thanks, man! Hopefully everyone will read this thread, so that they will be informed of the new "Blue Ringer" mushroom! Stay cool!-Levi7.
