saturday morning thread a la todcasil

juat got done with a crazy night of male bonding and musical creation. i cant sleep, though everyone else is passed out.

my jaw hurts. but i feel good.

what is everyone else up to this morning?

I just woke up from a two hour or so nap where I had an interesting dream, and now I'm listening to "Chill On Ice" on my Zen Touch.

Hah, that reminds me as to when I was looking for this mp3 player and nobody working at the stores around here, for some reason, knows what the hell it is. So I'd walk into Radio Shack or someplace and ask the lady "Hello, do you have the Creative Zen Touch?" and she'd give me this look like I was trying to get into her pants.  :grin:

But anyyyyway, I'll probably do some drawing today. I just took it up.. last night I had a few glasses of wine and did one of John Lennon, and it is actually recognizable.  :smile:

drawing is an awesome diversion to have available to you.

i used to love drawing, but now find myself well... not drawing the past year or so.

This morning I'm taking my girl and the kids up to a little mountain lake for a boat ride to the island and a little private picknick. Perfect day, sunny and 92 degrees. Will be about 82 up at the lake. :thumbup:

morning...

I haven't slept yet.

I was up all night with my 5 year old step daughter.
She has been having terrible stomach pains.
Her mom took her to the emergency room this morning.

She has had kidney problems since she was a baby.
She has been operated on 3 times.
If she doesn't drink enough water she gets her kidneys infected and she gets these pains.

Really sucks when you can't do anything to help them.

They will give her some meds for the infection.
But we are always scared that she will need more operations...every time her kidneys act up.

*sigh*
