Tiger-striped shrooms

I have just finished the first flush of PF race of Cubensis mushrooms, everything went perfect. After the first flush I rehumidified the cakes by drilling a small hole and placing a straw into the hole. By placing water into the straws the cakes become super hydrated. The second flush is just starting and I am getting amazing size buddys growing from the rice cakes, the only problem is that they are different in color than the first flush. There are light brownish tiger stripes running up the stem of the shroom, they smell allright, but I am worried that they are contaminated. Can a fully colonized rice cake get contaminated? I will probably try them anyways and tell you what happens

Mushrooms can change their morphology on consecutive flushes, it means they can vary on size and appearence from flush to flush. Hope that is your case.

A lot of my friend's mushrooms grow stripes on the side for some reason. It's normal.
