So,,,, Are we goingn to war with Iran soon???

im curious, i have been hearing how they are going to have their nuclear operations up next week, and had weaited for the un to get monitoring equip up and running... still this is not acceptable for the united states.... are we going to wake up with another kosovo like attack on a foregn land in the nenxt few weeks?

Yeah, the last thing Tony wants is another war. He'll want to finish his term on a positive note. I would have thought Bush would aswell. Maybe he'll leave Iran for the next republican president?

nothing could be further from the truth...have you heard hilary lately??...we would actually stand a better chance of avoiding a war against iran with bush...OTOH..neither is it the politicians' fault so much as that of an electoral majority that unabashedly idealizes pure evil...

Key thing is weather or not Iran can get nuclear weapons soon enough. The US never attacks a country they believe have WMD.

It took 12 years and countless UN sanctions and resolutions being tried and broken before we attacked Iraq. Saddam had them firing on our planes protecting the no fly zone on a daily basis.

I am not saying that we would never attack Iran under any circumstances, but it really isn't in the realm of possibility right now. People have been screaming that Iran is next for over a year now, and we really aren't making any moves in that direction.

I think that the administration is more likely going to be content to set the seeds of liberty and democracy and see how it can spread and grow by itself.

And the USA broke a prime directive of the UN Charter in attacking Iraq, which was a far worse violation.

That doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense, first of all. Kosovo?

Sure, the US has troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, but I would be interested to hear a theory how the US forces would be able to execute any sort of targeted strike or general invasion on Iran. That's nuts.

The EU players don't want Iran going nuclear. Iranians that think clearly don't want this regime to go nuclear.

Quite frankly, the US doesn't have the money or troops to do anything like get aggressive with Iran (maybe border skirmishes, fine, but Iran is already causing US troops enough headaches in Iraq).
