So are you if you actually believe that.

So what justafies them to hate Amerika? Give some examples.

Mainly our support for Israel's genocidal campaign against the Palestinians and installing and taking out regimes as we see fit, such as in Iran and Iraq.

Quote:

Did I say that?

No, but you failed to see my point. How is Amerika ran so badly? I mean come on man, we aren't that bad at all! The only thing I hate about Amerika is the materalistic yuppies, McDonalds, advertising, and pop music.

How about the fact that we have the largest prison population in the world, comprised mostly of nonviolent drug offenders? Or the way the government is eroding away our civil liberties with things like the Patriot Act, or its sequel? How can we talk about bringing freedom to Iraq while we're giving up our own freedom?

No one, but we installed the Shah to replace a democratically elected leader.

I don't like this war cause it's pre-emptive, America has always waited for someone to attack us first then we go after them like in WW 2 after Pearl Harbor we came in, or after 9/11 we went after Afghan and AlQueda , but now we're just up and saying we don't like these guys and were gonna take em out and we don't care what anybody says....Iraq never attacked America (altough yes they wanted to) America never gave inspections a chance, this war isn't so iminent, how could they be such a threat to us from across the ocean when they can't even put up a fight to keep us out of Baghdad? Americans are just as brainwashed as anybody else but really I don't think anybody's brainashed...brainwashed...heh its kinda funny if you think about it...

We know they can't do anything from there. But they aid and support terrorist networks just as the terrorist network that was responsible for 9-11. The support could eventually cause a catastrophic atrocity here in the US. This is why we are ridding the planet of this malicious dictator.

You don't understand what's really going on here, you need to be educate yourself, and recive insight, before you can properly form an opinion, and you MUST stop watching the oooze tube (TV) if your going to do this.

First you need to realize how fucking whacked your brain already is:

Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling
by John Taylor Gatto, David Albert (Introduction), Thomas Moore

then you can start looking at how much more fucked up people who don't know how fucked up they are, actually are:

Affluenza: The All-Consuming Epidemic
by John De Graaf, David Wann, Thomas H. Naylor, David Horsey (Illustrator), Scott Simon, John De Graaf

Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal
by Eric Schlosser

But most important is knowing what to do about it;

Our Ecological Footprint: Reducing Human Impact on the Earth
by Williams E. Rees, Phil Testemale, Mathis Wackernagel (Illustrator)

"Unfortunately no one can be told what the matrix is, you have to see it for yourself."

It would be better to buy these books at a locally own book store, but if you don't have one around you, all of these are avalable through www.amazon.com

Some of us may live in the united states, so its only human nature to defend our home, one cannot be blamed for that. However ignorance is inexcusable in this age of information, espcially when one claims to be working toward a higher consiouness.

War never solved anything.
Not true ? war has successfully solved many (if not most) of the major problems and dangers in history. What "solved" Hitler? Negotiation, compassion, psychoanalysis? No, the willingness of Churchill and Roosevelt to slaughter as many Germans as necessary before we achieved regime change in Berlin. Decisive, crushing victories (like World War II) lead to long-term solutions (like the utter transformation of Germany and Japan), while indecisive and hesitant outcomes (World War I, the Gulf War) often lead to further struggle and instability.

Yea, but who started that war and what was the outcome for the war starters?
It's quite safe to say that starting a war was always stupid and never turned out good.

So please, try to deny the following statement:
STARTING A WAR NEVER SOLVED ANYTHING.

1) War never solved anything.

Wouldnt say this is one of the top anti-war movement arguements but seeing as this guy has decided it is.... Just because some wars were fought for noble and good reasons or out of neccesity doesnt make this one right...surely thats fairly obvious?

2) We have no right to attack Saddam because our aid made him powerful and he once functioned as our ally.

Fleeting cooperation? The US loaned Iraq money after Halabja as did most other western countries. We supplied Iraq with most of their WMD's. Hardly small potatoes. Admission of their own role in this problem by the US govt. would be nice. Might be able to take them a little more seriously then.

3)It's all about oil.

The old so what arguement! well as above it would be nice to hear open admission of this. And if anyone needs it explained why it is not the US's right to initiate war with a sovereign state so as to take control of their energy resources then I think they should go and have a long lie down, preferably in a river!!

Im bored now...

PEACE

You can't use the Hitler example to justify everyone the US wants to declare war on.

This is an unjust war. There is no reason for it. Your leaders are liars, and they don't care about you or anyone.

They will make you believe what they want you to believe. I fear for mankind.

War solves wars, that's just great. Has Iraq started a war on the US yet?

Not really, but so what? Are we supposed to ignore the fact that our whole economy, and therefore our national security, depends upon imported oil?
That's rather selfish, now isn't it? Besides, the annual military budget you can already afford without iraqi oil could get the third world back on it's feet. wouldn't that do great for stopping terrorism and anti-americanism?

Even the most visionary and optimistic views of "renewable" energy development indicate that these emerging technologies can play a significant role only some 10 or 20 years in the future
Oh, and then some of us will be dead, so who cares? The future is now, to heck with the rest of it, right?

As a matter of fact, it's hard to understand how much more hostile you can feel once you've already declared (as Osama did in 1998) that every American, civilian or military, adult or child, richly deserves to die
You probably couldn't get Osama more enraged, but there's about 2 billion other asians you could.

There is no connection between Islamic terrorists and the Saddam Hussein regime.
I have to agree with you here, because of course there is. They're both asian, and slightly darker than us.

Only those with a truly pathetic public-school education could believe such rubbish, since we fought the War of 1812, the Mexican War, the Spanish American War, World War I, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, our campaigns in Bosnia and Kosovo, and many lesser engagements
If it hasn't been a tradition, why not make it one? War is not ok just because it has happened before
