Purchasing Blazei?

I would like to buy some Agaricus Blazei for tea. Eventually I will grow them but dont have a situation now where its feasible. I found several sources and the price varies greatly. I was wondereing if anyone has feedback for companies. Brasilian source sells 100g for $95.00 That is too expensive. Then I see another 100 grams for $29.00
That is more reasonable. The next one says a kilo for $125.00
Then yet another they are pound for $43.00 (about $100 for a kilo) Lastly a Chinese source says $25.00 per kilogram (but minimum order is 1000 kilogram)
So the range is from a dollar per gram down to 12cents and even 2 1/2 cents for the Chinese. That is a huge variation. Has anyone purchased any with good results? thanks all for feedback.

I'd recommend buying a kit and fruiting it...you don't need an elaborate grow room to fruit a kit...just a constant temperature between 70-80 degrees F.

yeah..follow azure advice.
Or if you just want buy mushrooms here's an advice: stay away from chinese agaricus...very frequently is contaminated with E. coli, a very harmful bacteria. That's bexause they use also human feces in their composts....

Thanks for input Azure and Club99. Club99, how do you know this information about the contams? Most imported Blazei are from Chinese sources. How does this differ from cubies that are grown with manure? Would these be considered contaminated as well?

by the time cubs can get a foothold in the substrate, the environment is not conducive for e-coli. cube require an aerated substrate, hence the use of verm in Pf cakes. e-coli don't do well in this environment. some mushroom species can do quite well in human feces, or other substrate that is densely packed.

i don't remember exactly where i got this info, but most of westerns blazei sellers like the brazilians attests that their product is 100% e.coli free, wich doesn't happen from chinese producers...
e.coli is mostly from human feces, for what i know cow and horses doesn't have this bacteria in their bodies as internal flora (or fauna?)

E.coli is everywhere, however, does not survive in a dried environment, so this should not be a problem on dried mushrooms. Asthetically, human poop ruins my appetite though.
