I can't roll with those rolling machines or with a dollar bill, I don't know how people do that, but I don't think it will help you learn that much. It's just a crutch. Kind of like training wheels on a bike, they'll help you get going, but you don't learn how to balance properly until you get rid of them.

It's all about practice. When I first started smoking I rolled shitty joints, but they worked, eventually I got better. I used to sit down with some papers and a pile of oregano and practice.

Zig Zag whites should do you just fine. They have a good gum, they're thin, and they burn well.

I like Smoking papers as well, but headshop papers tend to be ridiculously overpriced.

The hardest part about rolling joints is getting the right tightness, depending on how moist/resinous the weed is. With rolling tobacco you can usually roll it as tight as you want and it'll be fine, but weed can be picky.

Thats crazy, i guess it depends on where you live.where i started smoking there was no such thing as pipes or bongs.I was the first one to have bong in my group of friends actually. The first time i smoked i had to roll my first joint, i got good real fast within a week or so its not that hard. just practice if your bud is that dry you can use the same weed over and over again.when you finally make a good one smoke that sucker down :stoned:

First of all, I pity the fool who uses any kind of rolling paper or machine. I believe that rolling a joint/dube` is an art.

But like a lot of skills, it can take time to master. I've rolled hundreds of joints, and yet I still make mistakes, here and there, from time to time. sometimes, I forget to take a little piece of stem or sometimes the joint seems pregnant. But now, that im pretty experience with rolling, I dont roll like most people do. I roll it as a cone.

Hemp paper is the choice. Trust me, I tried atleast two dozens kinds of rolling papers. Most of hemp papers are very thin, easy to roll, nice paste, slow burning, its transparent (depends on how oily your cannabis is), and you can fully taste the flavor of your plant. My preference for rolling papers are Smoking, Skunk, Rizzlas.

I've tried countless different papers as well, zig zags work very well.

The idea that you'd need some air-thin paper to be able to taste your plant is psychological. You don't need to pay out your ass for fancy hemp papers to roll a good joint. Rice paper (zig zags) works extremely well, hemp is a gimmick.

yeah, I agree.  I guess as a stoner it's obligatory for me to learn (and not use the roller) but I don't care that much.  Just give me a joint damnnit, I don't care how it's rolled!  :grin:

I roll joints cause a bowl just taints the bud's flavor after a while. I could clean the bowl but it's a bitch and I smoke to much. I still use my Steam Roller though...

I started out with the $ bill trick and worked my way up from there... now my joints smoke better than ever. The rollers from the headshop seem to have more runners but that's prolly different from person to person.

Yep. Hemp is a great material that has a vast variety of uses, but as far as rolling papers goes, I agree it's definitely a gimmick. They are somewhat ok, but in my opinion rice papers are much better.

heh, i never learned to roll. its a waste of time and energy.

get a girlfriend who can roll a deacent rocket, and anytime you want a boombatty you just promise her a roll in the hay for a roll of hay.

that way you get both joint and pussy.

I dislike hemp papers and the french culture, but i love me JOB french lights 1.25. They are my favorite. You can almost see thru them and burn great. I dont like zig zags as much for whatever reason and joker/ez widers suck because of thier gums. I used to burn in the hot tub when i lived with my parents and ez widers would always fall apart in there.

i cant stand wire papers... it was cool the first time i used it... then it just became gay to hold that little wire while you smoke... besides, the papers are always alot harsher than regular paps

The discussion continues! Now that we're on choices of papers, I buy the 300 foot roll of blueberry papers, can't think of the brand off the top of my head but they're the only one I've found that come in a roll (think toilet paper) and they taste better than any paper I've ever found, plus you can chose how big you want it. Perfect!

I'm actually fairly new to rolling joints I guess. I can roll them though.

Still on my first package that my friend gave me because he hated them. Rizla +, I think they're called.
