I don't smoke pot, but I roll cigarettes. The best advice I ever got is "don't be dainty with it, be firm"

okay man, i know it can be tough at first, but once you get the hang of it, rolling joints is really enjoyable, and you will be wanting to do it all the time!
what you should do, pick up a dub and a pack of zig zags, grind your weed up, and try and try again! you will fail at first, but do not be discouraged! look at your technique and see where it can be improved, and..improve it! i have faith in you, dont give up and toss it in a bong, because it is tough to discreetly smoke a bong walking down the streets in my experience!

I never could roll one either but my brother in law can roll one one handed while driving down the road. I've seen him do it many times.

just get some paks of good papers, like club, pure rice papers,no glue
sit down, and roll,tear it up and just keep repeating till the paks are gone, then you will be a pro. :thumbup:

It's easier to roll a hog's leg than a pinner so use a fair bit of weed and roll a fat one. There's nothing to it; just roll it up! I honestly think I rolled a respectable j the first time I tried. You must have a mental block or something. Did your mother tell you it's bad for you?

I would say the best thing to do is practice. I had asthma when I first started smoking and it seemed like bowls always choked me and then I wouldn't inhale enough for fear of getting choked so i wouldn't get that high. Well I started rolling joints and now I can do it perfectly. I have seen alot of bowl smokers be messy breaking up their weed. Make sure you break it up nicely, nothing worse than a lumpy joint.

Get you a pack of papers and practice. The dollar bill thing is handy but sometimes you don't have one and it's just easier, when you get good to do it freehanded.

I don't see alot of people do this but, when I was first taught to roll one, the man teaching me always made 2 little folds at the fold. It makes a little pouch and the weed is less likely to fall when you try to shape and tighten the joint.

i never smoke those tiny ass zig-zag joints. well, ok, every now and again - but i prefer to make nice big spliffs with big "smoking" papers (i prefer the black's cause they are the slimmest). however, there is no way that i could explain how to do it without showing you. :shrug: i used to be crap, but after some time i got damn good at it!

I use Smoking as well, definately the highest quality brand. I alternate between De Lux (black), and Master (silver) depending on what I am smoking. Master is actually slimmer than De Lux. (Slim and Eco are just as slim as De Lux btw).

Robot, you know, I couldn't roll a joint till freshman year in college, when I forgot my bowl at home and I was left with no way to smoke weed besides rolling for several weeks... I used to roll them very evenly, as to look like cigarettes, and then I'd walk around campus and smoke weed...

Being that you live near me, I'd be glad to give you personal instruction! I usually roll with "filters" - just some rolled up index card or other similar stock paper at the end - and I generally roll cones. When I was in London, a fellow shroomerite taught me the "credit card trick" - I can roll fine without it, but it allows me to use less paper. Rizla king size all the way!

I like zigzag slims but rizla is fine at four AM and it's all you can find under the back seat of the car.

Learn with a dollar bill or start with blunts.

Use the concept of a rolling machine with a dollar bill to get the hang of it or start with 1.5's(too much paper).
