Who flips their cakes?

I have seen some sources that say you should invert your cakes after birthing them so they sit upside down your fruiting chamber. On the other hand, I've seen sources say that whatever you do, don't flip the cakes over because they need to maintain the same orientation that they originally sat in. Do you flip your cakes? What about if you used the double-ended casing tek? Will flipping the cakes really "confuse" the mycellium and produce less mushrooms?

Well when you case you mix em all up but that probably isn't what your worried about, though i doubt it would effect in the least, i don't know about the people making mushrooms confused but they sure make me...oh yeah, when you have those jars incubating put em upside down with no tape on the holes so some of that CO2 can settle out, seems feasible eh

Thanks for the replies. I figured it didn't matter but since I'm trying the double-ended casing tek I wanted to know what the best method was. Actually, I've got 3 jars double-cased, 3 jars with inner reservoirs, 3 jars that are just classic PF, and 1 jar that is double-cased and has an inner reservoir. I just innoculated them tonight and I'm going to see what comes out the best. Any predictions? I'm trying diffferent cake methods since I failed so miserably in my first and only casing attempt.

I just birthed 6 cakes to a perlite bottom FC. I also read in a post to put them in the FC the same way they colonized in jars and I have had bottom fruiting issues before. I used to put them "verm filter" end down but this time I inverted them to verm end up like in the jar. I will report back with results once they fruit.
