I can't roll a joint.

And I really want to learn how,. But whenever I start to teach myself, I get so dejected so quickly. It seems like I should be able to roll joints...I want to smoke more of them...and right now I have dry ass weed, and a lot of it.

But I just can';t seem to get the hang of it. :frown:

I can't do it either...I've practiced and practiced. 

So now I don't sweat it and roll joints with a cigarette roller. :thumbup:

I cant either soo you knwo what I did? Got a joint roller from the head shop. It rolls the perfect joint.

the trick is to use the paper to roll it into a compact cylinder before you attempt actually rolling it.. then it's just a matter of making a tight roll.. once you get the paper folded over and tucked, give it a nice steady roll using both your thumbs.. it definitely takes practice. but ya a cigarette roller is a good substitute if you get too frustrated.. rolls em perfect every time :thumbup:

I can't roll a descent one either. I do get really protective of my obtusely rolled joints though, I think it gives each one some character.

Have a rolling competition with some of your friends and make sure no one cheats by using a pen.

Joints always seemed wasteful to me, hence I never really learned how to roll one either. I never smoke joints when I'm by myself, as I just pack a bowl or a bong, so really I only smoke joints when someone else rolls them.

I know primitive rolling, but I don't do it so I never advanced to the master joint roller status as I really don't care about joints. When I want to smoke, I'm far too impatient to grab a paper and roll a spliff when I could just pack the bud in a bowl in 5 seconds and smoke it that way.

what i did ,and still do ,but i don'r really smoke joints anymore..

(bare with me i'm increaditbly drunk)


1: put weed in center of paper...

2; fold the corners IN a bit...

3: start with the rolling..

4: when you get it rather tight ,put it on a loose bill,and "roll" it through the bill,be shure to rols the bill ABOVE the joint,so as to not sqush it...


smoke and enojoy... :grin:

It's like riding a bike bro. You just have to sit there and keep trying and when you finally get the hang of it you will never forget how to do it. Eventually you will come up with your own method of rolling that works well for you. For almost 4 years of smoking bud I couldn't roll a joint at all. I tried and tried. Finally I said fuck it one night I was really baked and made it a mission to accomplish. I sat there and went through two packs of EZ Widers but finally got it down to a science. :smile: EZ Wider 1 1/2's are very good for learning to roll. :thumbup:

If you really don't feel like sitting down and fucking around tonight just empty out a cigarette. It takes a while but it will work. Fill it up and use a q-tip or pen to pack down the green. When you're finished rip or cut the filter off and you'll have a nice joint to smoke. You want it tight but not too tight. :sun:

edit: Try folding the paper in half before rolling (the long way).

The key to learning how to roll a good joint is smoking cigarettes. Trust me, I'm going somewhere with this. Alright, you're addicted to cigarettes? Perfect. Now buy a pouch of rolling tobacco and some papers, don't get any other cigarettes around you. Desperation alone will teach you how to roll a cigarette, and you'll just get better and the joints will be perfect in no time.

Yeah and bud is easier to roll than tobacco because it sticks. REAL sticky bud is always easier to roll than anything else. I used to love rolling up very sticky outdoor. :smile: :thumbup:
