Does anyone reccomend ingesting the shrooms as a tea, how does this method differ from just eating them straight? Also what is the best way to make the tea, and how is the taste?

i reccomend mushroom tea!!! It makes for a faster Peak!!!! It taste great w/ lots of sugar in it!!!! mmmmmm. i would tell you my method of making mushroom tea.....But then i would have to kill ya.

shroom tea is fantastic. i only tried it once, but i had a hell of a trip. just put the cut-up shrooms in hot water, not boiling. then add some kind of flavored tea. i think its better not to use sugar. if u can get it, use sugar-free honey instead. stir for a while, drink and then eat the soggy (pretty nasty) leftovers.
the trip will kick in way faster, depending on how empty ur stomache is.

The Tea is less potent because heat destroys quite a bit of the psilocin... Sure it still works, but I don't like Tea compared to eating them for the effects...

Tea brings you up quick, and the trip seems to last a lot shorter for me....

i suppose thor is right. but it worked for me when i cut up 4 grams of cubensis and made tea. the trip might have been a little shorter than usual (maybe 4, 5hours), but it was a good one. so if its not that big of a problem to get shrooms, try it sometime

dry them out first. measure the dosage you want and crush them into a powder. then make up some tea and stir in the powdery goodness. I would recommend sugar and use a tea with ginseng and vitamin C and all those vitamins and mineral deliciousness. It'll taste a little gritty but you won't lose n e potency. My cat likes to mix hers with a large glass of good old OJ.

If you have a limited quantity of mushrooms, tea is rather wasteful. The only time I use this method of ingestion is when I gather a ton of blue ringers and don't feel like eating 30 to trip.

Best way I have found so far is dried shrooms ground to powder then mix powder in with dole(shameless plug) banana pineapple strawberry ornge juice blend.Mix this in a blender or one of them hand held mixer things till you have this light blue frothy concoction. It tastes great and I have never had any stomach cramping when injesting this way also the vit C will help matabolize the shrooms a liltle better

recently I had dried mushrooms crumbled up in hot chocolate (we'd call it milo back in NZ) and it tasted GREAT!!!

I don't know about anyone else, but my friend made a tea out of approximately 4 grams of dried cubensis and 4 or 5 small fresh cubies. If he would have eaten the whole thing, he would have had a long and rather exhausting trip. But, after he made a mushroom tea, added some beef boullion and ate the mushroom soup, he felt rather different. The visuals were more relaxed, the coming up was extremely quick and harsh, his stomach felt a little better and he had a really weird nitrous ringing in his ears about 2 hours into the trip and it lasted for 3 hours after that. The whole trip was about 8 hours from coming up to going completely down. He likes that method, it just feels smoother to him. If he ever wants to trip hard again, he would just eat the shrooms and stay away from the fresh ones that make him feel poisoned. Oh yes, he also had a horrible migraine the day after the trip which has never happened after any other trips.

I made mushrooms tea last nite with 26 grams fresh mushies.. chopped em up small and poured boiling water 1 cup at a time (3 seperate times I strained and repeated).. drank all 3 cups and felt absolutely nothing.. wtf did I do wrong??

I think the boiling water is where u went wrong......heat kills the active ingredients.

I personally just stick to a peanut butter sandwich. You cant taste them at all.

I have heard that taking pure alcohol, such as Everclear, and
dropping a bunch of stems into it will extract the psilocin into the alcohol. Then you just take a shot of it and whammo, your on your way. I guess the potency would be equivalent to how many mushrooms you put in and how much alcohol that the psilocin was extracted into.

I'd say boil some water, then turn of the fire... throw in the mushrooms (when the water isn't boiling anymore)
let them swim around for 15 to 20 minutes
It'll smell like some nice mushroom-soup then MMM MMM.
Then drink it ... eating the mushrooms isn't needed anymore BUT you can always try (this is VERY discusting) ...
