My Job.. .. ..

I have this job see... actully 2 jobs... my real job, im a digital photo lab manager for an architectual photographer... and my fun job, i wait tables at an upscale place.

Ive worked at the resturaunt for over 2 years and i love working there... i mean i really enjoy going to work there. Only problem is, i can't work full time there, most i can get is maybe 30 hours... with tips, i make a little over 20bucks an hour.

The Lab job, i make 11$ a hour. I get 40 hours a week, i sit at this damn desk and retouch/process digital photos of these hella expensive houses. I suppose you all get the picture, i really don't like this job, its 30 minutes drive from my house, and i work 8-4pm....

As i sit here (first day back from vacation) i just wanna quit and take my chances... i really don't like this damn job.... no interaction with people, except you guys, my boss is a cry baby whiner..... I get so so so bored by 12 i wanna cry.... The only reason ive stuck it out these last few months, is 1. i needed some cash, and in my area 11 an hour is a good ass job... 2. time away from my gf! haha :/

But seriously... I have this idea that its better to be poor and happy then have money and dread waking up because you have to go to work.... to a job you hate.... :/ I work like 60 hours a week with both jobs, i could pick up some more shifts at the other job, but i don't know if that will make ends meet.... should i brave the job hunting world? I really fucking hate sitting here.... only good thing really, is i get to (when the boss isn't looking ) post on these forums :/

Super basic photoshop skills, and a nice appearance and im sure this idiot would hire you =)

More of an insult towards him.... hehe.... I'm some other dudes replacement, and the first month of my job was cleaning up what my boss and the other dude messed up.... which was a ton.......

Maybe i just think that this is a waste of my time! Its totally dead end.... prolly never going to make more then 11-12 bucks an hour... and i ahve to put up with my twat towel of a boss

yes, i do agree with that... but...

When i am waiting tables, and making more then 20 bucks an hour, and having a goooood time, i made 93 bucks last night in tips from 5:30 to 10:00 so including wages, like 120, in 4.5 hours?? thats pretty good, thats more then i make at the serious job in 8 hours.... i guess i just see the lab job as harder/less pay and im not really stoaked, as you can tell....


To quit, or not to quit... and not quit on in a quiter way, but quit in a, damn, get off my back way

I suggest not quitting unless you know that you'll be financially secure without that income.

If you're going to quit anyways, be up front with your boss and tell him to stop the unnecessary bs so that your day is more comfortable. You can't really lose. If he gets mad, react to him like any normal person. If he fires you, oh well. =) And if getting your boss off your back isn't good enough to make you stay, then demand a raise.

You could get high before work so it's not so bad.

Look for a new job or request more hours at your waiter job before quitting, if you can wait that long.
