Tic Prevention

i have a question regarding tics for you guys...everytime i go out in the woods mushroom hunting i return with several tics on me, and i was wondering if any of you had any advice/reccomendations/secrets to keeping tics off. thanks

wear a hat and long pants

spray the pants with a good DEET bug spray, especially the waist and around the ankles. also your arms and neck/head

keeps em off for me

And make sure when you get home to take a shower and check yourself out..

I spent two years in Tenn. Man the ticks and chiggers were horrendous!
I went on a float trip and took a pee in the woods.. My shorts were wet and fell down.. I pulled them up and picked up a bunch of chiggers man I had a rough two months!

yeah, thats always a good idea

we must have it pretty easy up here, ticks aren't too common unless you're really going through thick brush and I don't even know wtf a chigger is, thankfully, I guess :wink:.

bloodsucking insects/arachnids creep me out.
