Smuggling explosives?? But why? Explosives are readily available in any country. Transporting explosives, especially primers, isn't a smart idea.

This is really sad for England. My condolences and best wishes for all those that live there.

Something that makes me sick are the those who are apologists for the terrorist cause. Any intentional attack on civilians is never acceptable, especially when the two parties are not at war.

Reading this thread makes me sick that anyone can even attempt to justify these actions. Making noise will get you recognition, but you won't achieve your goals if you can't be negotiated with.

You would think a topic like this would stay towards the top, guess it's easy to push it asside and move on. Maybe that's what we should do, just push these kind of attacks to the back of our minds and pretend they just didn't happen. Would certainly take the incentive away. Imagine planning and praying to your god about your suicide bombing for weeks, and then sweating away the morning in a cramped subway tube with hundreds of commuters you plan to kill... just you and your bomb...bang!. Then you watch as you bleed out of your last few seconds of flesh bound consciousness and your victims calmly collect themselves and pickup their fallen pieces and march on about their lives. These Britts walked home bloody and battered for tens of miles just so they wouldn't miss eating their pudding in front of Big Brother on BBC 4. Those folks can't be broken. Reminds me of some New Yorkers. So endeth the diatribe.

It's still got to suck (on a self-imposed moral high ground, bucking for the 72 virgins kind of way) if you psyche yourself up to take your own life and punish the infidels and they just pick themselves up like it was the aftermath of a drunken World Cup brawl.

The thing that gets me is how much people want to believe in Al Queda and terrorism in general.

I think people need to stop fearing 'terrorism' and start fearing the amount of control that is gained by federal government after these attacks.

The British national ID card will come with ease after this attack.

Just like the war with Iraq did after 9/11.

Just as its been said a bunch of times...who is really benefitting?

It's so much worse to die by the hand of those in power than it is to die by the hands of an oppressed region. Unfortunately, I truly believe that is the case.

Hah, I was making fun of it. All these logic-worshippers should really stop ruling out theories that go against the mainstream as "nutjob conspiracies". If they were so logical they would seriously consider the facts.

To me, the simplest explanation is that their own government did it, or ordered/funded it.
It would be ALOT EASIER for them to and they have ALOT MORE to benefit from it, IMO.

Not only that, they will use this to support another war I imagine. Look for them to attack Iran or North Korea "in the name of safety".
They will pull some sort of "connection" between these attacks and some country out of their asses, just like 9/11 and Iraq.

Also the National ID card of course, and all kinds of new Patriot Act measures, surveillance, etc etc.

Soon they'll be holding the taser to you for refusing their microchips.

I hate conspiracy theories but I think you may be onto something. Who benefits more from terrorism than anyone? The government. It gives them the freedom to do pretty much anything they want.

Bush didn't have shit going for him until 9/11-- suddenly Americans started to believe he was something other than a complete fuckstain.

I believe that terrorism is largely what it seems, Islamic fundamentalists... but I'll never stop asking questions. I wouldn't put it past the government, is all I'm saying.
