I just lost two hundred dollars

Kevin's grandparents sent him a $200 check for his college books and I lost it.

I've looked everywhere. The only thing I can think of is that I accidently threw it away...

damn this sucks.

If you were a $200 check, where would you be?

That sucks, My wife did the same thing with my 401k check from a previous job. $1800.

Women! Why do you always have to clean shit up and throw shit away!

Now I have to fuckin call them back and have them resend the check. It was such a pain the first time I am realy looking forward to it.

check your pants pockets? i once had a backpack stolen by some crazy/drunk bellarussians (never filed a police report because i felt bad and didn't want them to get deported), and thought that my wallet was in the bag. cancelled my credit cards, got new ones sent to me, only to find some months later my wallet chilling in the pocket of a pair of trousers that were tossed way in the back of a cupboard...

Don't hate yourself...its not the end of the world. This is easy to fix actually. Have Kevin call his grandparents, have them call their bank, and put a stop on the check. This way if it was stolen, it cannot be cashed. Then they can just write you a new one, no harm no foul.
