Fish pumps in place of coolmist?

I'm guessing this might not be the best idea, but I figured I would ask before I blow $25 on a coolmist.

I need air exchange in a martha... I have 3 fish pumps and 6 air sticks left over from some PMP's. These things are very quiet and I have heard the coolmist is a bit loud.

Could I just place a small tray of geolite/water in the bottom of the martha and run all of the pumps and sticks into it? Would this provide enough air exchange or should I just sell them and get a coolmist? I figure if this works it would save me $25...

Check your local Goodwills. I find at teast one a week for no more then $2.

The problem with what you want to do is the oxygen would be entering from the bottom. I think it's best to let it enter from the top and force the CO2 out the bottom.

I wish the good wills in my town had stuff like that. I have found 2 in the past 2 weeks. Both marked for $19.99... USED.
