I dunno if it makes a difference but how I usually use them is. I take a whippit (iSi). Crack it -> fill the balloon -> hyperventilate - blow a bit in the balloon - set the balloon, once the rubber is warmed up, on my lips - toke it all in - and hold it until it becomes uncomfortable to hold.
I have noticed this is about 2x as intense as rebreathing in and out the balloon, and your body needs/wants to start making an unresistable breathing movement after 20-30+ seconds. If you rebreathe in the balloon, then it gets dangerouser 
You can breathe it all out in a balloon though. And try to use it again.
Did you know that n2o worked by dissolving into a brain tissue, and by doing that, it expands the tissue a bit, which causes the effect.

I have noticed that n2o is extremely addictive on short terms. So never have to much chargers lying around. When te effect starts to wear of, you crave more. Untill after a min or 2 when you don't really know why you craved MORE that badly.
