Mass hunt North georgia Park NEED ID PLZ PICS ~!
    #4288517 -

I found this one huge white shroom growing under a tree in the leaves , cap is bout 3 inches+ stem 4 inches , White completely , white / yellow spore print , NOW when i picked this sucker , there was a patch of skin on the top that gave the appearance of a nipple type shape i peeled it off , also had a fairly big Bulb / vulva left in the ground after it was picked , semi hollow stem . And these Grey and cream colored mushrooms are QUITE intriguing , was walking down a construction site when i noticed 4 bails of HAY sopping wet after all this rain immediately i ran over to the bails and check em out and one caught my eye , it was EXPLODING with these thumb size and shaped shrooms which were colored grey with light grey gills , then i moved on down and the other hay bails were full of nada , walked for bout 2 minutes and spotted another bail so figured hey i should go ahead and check that one and i did , SAME THING bursting with the same looking mushrooms , EXCEPT these were cream colored with light grey gills , diff strain or sumthin ? and i couldnt spore print these guys they are KRAZY shaped and doesnt look possible.. could i please get an ID of both these types of mushrooms , i have a gut feeling the big white one is an aminita Deathcap or similar, or possibly a pantherina ? thanks guys any help would be awsome

The first ones are Inky Caps(Coprinus). Not edible, not active.

The second looks like an Amanita. It should be considered deadly unless proven otherwise.

I think the ones in the first picture are called inky caps. They will rot away to mush very fast.
Try checking horse or cow fields in N-GA and you may find something active.
As for the last picture, no idea but it looks poisonous.

would you rather i be drippingly sicofantic?
and no, it had nothing to do with your post. but you could have read any post from today and seen the same mushrooms identified over and over.
it was an observation only remotely related to you, really it's not about you at all it's about trends.
so don't get all offended eh? dude.

The first trio of pics is indeed of Coprinus or similar genus.
The second is not A. virosa, but it certainly isn't active, and doesn't appear to be worthy of eating.

Mitchnast: This is the second time today that someone has bitched at you. I totally sympathize with you if you're just having a bad day.

PSiFR33K: Same thing. Take a chill pill. That kind of hostility is uncalled for. Mitchnast wasn't personally insulting you. Besides, Mitchnast's 4000+ posts status carries alot more weight than your >20 posts.

I'm not trying to babysit (sorry, not intentionally comparing you to children) or play moderator here, but these little scuffles have no place in a serious identification thread.

dont make a big deal out of it. the probl;em i see is that it might become a big deal, when it juat a bump in mutual understanding and perception of intention.

i repeat, a bump.

and my 4000+ posts and almost 6 years of being on the forum don't really mean anything. they don't mean weight. please don't make me bigger than I am. im big enough in my own world.  thanks so much for the sympathy tho.

Mitch, you're still a sweetie pie though, you ID more shrooms than most others, and definitely seem to carry your weight.

Props to all the guys who ID the shrooms, and prevent many a illness/death.

So it goes.

YAY!! Everyone's happy now!

Im only making a deal out of it cause someone might get a little too upset... for example:

(poster) Are these Amanitas deadly?
(angry poster) Nahhhhh... Those are edible! and delicious! but they're only good if you eat them fresh...

I'm not saying that anyone would do such a thing, im just sayin... ya know... it could happen...
