Todays unfortunate events.

First this morning i noticed  my 4 Amazon jars went green :frown:
4 days ago my PESA' jars did the same, all 7 jars were pc'd at the same time. I was clean threwout every process as well.. Jars or syringe? What do you think was the cause?

Now just moments ago i was working next to my tub on the counter
and knocked it off.. :rolleyes:





Luckily only 1 of the 6 Orissa jars suffered injury, and did it suffer sum injury, I had 2 clean my tub out lol..

Oh well waiting for the remaining 5 orissa's to show growth this is day 3 since inoculation.

When i knocked my tub over. i was removing what good mycelia had grown on the cake, on all the jars the grene started at the bottom.. and there was a buffer area of WBS not colonized,  so i dug t out with a spoon and examined every peice for green and then crumbled it up, 1 jar went into a plastic container inverto type project

the rest went into a 7 quart container with all peat moss, all i had, not  hoping for much, at this point the amazon's = expeiriment and just sumtihng to watch. Hopefully the orissa's do fine

Any ideas on why the jars went green.. water content seemed fine, this is my 3rd  grow with WBS, and ve never had a jar green untill now..

if you feel confident about your WBS jars...not being the cause.

I was thinkng that.. both syringes came fromma shroomery vendor.. i trust that they have the know to make a good syrnge.. but not everyones perfect..


I was as clean ad can be, flamed needle, used 91% ethyl cleaned the area and my hands b4 proceedure.

And yes im confident my jars were fine... another thing the birdseed was old.. and had been laying open to the air for a long time.. but

PC should have tooken care of any spores/endospores correct?

how long did you soak your birdseed before pressure cooking it?

Bummer bro.

It's all good though.... Definately happens to all of us. I've knocked my fair share of shit over in the kitchen. Huge tub of poo just the other day.

Still haven't gotten around to cleaning out all the poo from under the stove. Might have to wait til I move.

My friend is a noob and he lost a good dozen last week because he was admiring his jars too much. The jars were packed very loosely and shrank from growth were the verm at the top was not packed tight and moved around as the jars were tilted letting green in.
