Rye Flour Substrate

Hello all,

Heres the deal, I have organic rye flour. I used to MMGG for the water and verm whatnot. 2/3 cup verm 1/4 ryeflour 1/4 water. Its seems a little sticky, not too bad though. I was wondering what everyone elses mixture is with rye flour?

Also with this rye flour can i do boiling to sterilize? or do i have to pressure cook? Any help is greatly appreciated. Im a newbie, totaly ruined my first attempt and i dont wanna lose this syringe too! hehe

i havent yet tried the flour, but i have whole grain rye, and it is a very good nutrient base, though prolonged pressure cooking may help, not only to fully sterilize it, but to open up the nutrients inside to the mycellium
