im getting fuckin pissed i cant get any growth.i can do honey water perfect but have no success with substrate.can anybodyh tell me a good formula using Rye flour and vermiculite??How much of each and how much water?How long should i steralize it in my mycrowave??how tight should the lids be??and remember im using RYE FLOUR!!!NOT BROWNRICE FLOUR DAMMIT!!!rye flour is baking flour with rye grains in the form of flour.ANSWER THIS ONLY IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCED WITH ORGANIC RYE FLOUR...thanks for the time...

Not at all. Use a pressure cooker.

I'm currently trying the same thing and i only have growth on 1 jar after a week. I had 2 of my jars tip after PC and ended up soaking up more water. I think that the one with growth was 1 of the 2. but i tried pf teks 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup flour 1/2 cup vermiculite. Maybe you should try with 1/2 cup water.

You're failing because you're using the "mycrowave" to sterilize.

I don't think it's the microwave, I'm only showing growth in 1 container and i used a PC for 1 hour @ 15psi.

same ratios for brf/rye flour. You still need a pressure cooker for rye flour since it does still contain endospores they're easier to kill but just boiling them will not cutt it.
