i'm pulling a sickie today

so i woke up today and just couldn't be bothered. so i thought about sickie excuses - ear infection? toothache? migraine?

in the end i went with good old faithful 'up all night with diarrhoea, really sorry but i can't leave my toilet' .... and the boss bought it, so that's me set up for 8 hours of no-work fun!

you guys got any good "i can't come to work because..." excuses? for tomorrow maybe  :wink:

I always just say I had a "big night" last night and it really wouldn't be worth the company's money for me to come in today. I work a sunday shift and the weekend supervisor is always cool about that kind of thing so it works out. I didn't call a sickie when I actually did have a big night, and was still a litte drunk when I came in to work. It was a decent shift actually (considering circumstances), better not sleeping at all than getting a couple of hours sleep just beforehand, but I wouldn't repeat it.

Either that or "I've got a real bad flu."

Being a casual has its advantages. They can't make you come in, or fire you if you have an excuse or anything :laugh:

well, so far it's all good. a beer, a joint, some comics, the pc merrily whistling away with a sawdust-bran mixture in it, and a mat and pillow in the garden sunshine  :sun:
