milo vs. rye

anyone here tried both these substrates??
i currently use milo with sucess but wondered how much better (if at all) rye is.

whats milo? ive used brf, rye flour and finch seed. id recommend hay cobb/finch seed over rye flour, but have never tried whole rye grains.

If you are having sucess with milo, I doubt you will notice much of an advantage by going to rye....cewrtainly no disadvantages either... Many people find rye easier to manage with regard to moisture content. Rye is known to have high levels of tryptamine for potency. I do not know if rye is higher in tryptamine than other grains...anyone?

Beppo....Milo is one of the common ingrediants in birdseed. It is a round grain like millet but larger and darker...

i see. well then that is what i use, finch seed with no sunflower seeds, just the round pellets. thanks for the additional terminology.

i like millet...buy a ten pound bag of it at wal mart for real cheap...easy to do too, as long as you have a pressure cooker.

for millet, you just take a pint jar, put in 2/3 of a cup of millet, 1/3 a cup of water, pc for an hour and you're set
