Book recommendations?
    #4240714 - 05/31/05 03:52 PM (18 years, 10 months ago)

Anyone got a recommendation for an entertaining book? I have to write a book report on it so I want something enjoyable and easy to read. Fiction is what I want.

oh believe me that book is everything else but religious... religion comes from the latin "fear of god" and this book has nothing to do with fear... it's pure love... a true eye-opener...

brave new world is one of Aldous Huxley's books (an earlier psychedelic experimenter), 1984... you've never heard of 1984? it's not religious. conversations with god, never read, doesn't look religious to me though, spiritual maybe.

Conversations With God is, like Indigo said, anything but religious.  It basically teaches you to reject all religions and to embrace spiritual concepts such as the idea that everyone and everything is "God", instead.  We are all one.  There is no hell.  There is no "right" or "wrong", etc..

1984 is about a totalitarian society.  I've never read it.  I'm just going to wait about 5 years and experience it first hand, instead.

1984 is a great book, you should read it.

War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.

I don't read anymore. Anyway, I know the gist of the story and I've heard lots of the more famous quotes from it. Plus, it'll just make me angry.
