What you need is to take a pic of that shroom. Anyway, do you have any animals nearby, If they grow from manure or dung then probably and after reading your description, they could be some species of Panaeolus, but a pic would defenitly help.

Do they look similar to these mushrooms?
Do the caps turn upwards when the mushrooms get older?
You may have already said this, but where do you live?
Peace out,

Grenade)1,
You can eliminate Psilocybe coprophila.
That mushroom only grows on cow and buffalo dung and that is what it is, a coproplious species, which means of manure. they do not appear on lawns

People here have identified specimens of Panaeolina foenisecii on these pages as Panaeolus subbalteatus and claimed they had black spores when they were a dark chocolate-brown.
It is impossible to id any mushroom without a photo. Giving a supposed id is very dangerous to anyone on these boards.
Especially for lawn shrooms.
I have posted comparative images of Galerina species on lawns with P. stuntzii and also the same with P. cyanescens. i have shown people pictures of Galerina and they swear they had eaten them before and gotten high, So unless one is qualified to id a particular shroom, a photo is a lot of help, not just a generic description of a lawn shroom.
