They look kinda like Panaeolus subbalteatus to me. The stems don't appear to be purplish like subbs though. Try taking a spore print. If it's black you probably have Pan subbs if it's brown you probably have Panaeolus foenisecci the the look-a-like to subbs which is non-psycho-active.

The odds of any random mushroom being a 'magic' mushroom are about 1000 to 1.

Ted: "Hey kids, who does your mom look like in the morning?" Kids... in unison: "James Brown!" Darlene, "All right, thats enough... It's poison spaghetti for dinner tonight."

It wasn't random, the mushrooms looked similar to ones that I have picked with a friend of mine at his ranch. The spore print was indeed black. I am going to try eating some tonight. Oh, and I live in a small town that is close to Prince George. (Cariboo region) SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!Edited by Just a Punk on 07/22/01 04:27 AM.

ALthough the shrooms looked somewhat blurred they are probably Panaeolina foenisecii Maire. However you said thge print was black and the only black spored Mushroom in the pNW common in lawns or fields is Panaeolus subbalteatus and those are not P. subbalteatus. Of course, some times Copelandia's are found here in Washington but never more than one or two period. Have a shroomy day. mj
Have a shroomy day and may all of your days be shroomy.

If you don't know what they are, don't eat them!
