Humidity Question..

Ok my humidifier is blowing into my terrarium on full blast.. its a cool moisture humidifier.. i dont know if there is a difference between that and a cool mist but anyways. i have 4 holes about 1/2 " across near the bottom filled with poly fill because someone told me it would help with the pressure build up. But there is still air escaping through the rim of the lid.. i have weather stripping there but its not helping.. what should i do so there isnt so much pressure in there.. im also guessing that because of the pressure the humidity is only getting up to 78%. any help is appreciated.

try to get a better seal on that lid. also invest in some perlite, man. its awesome and its under $5

Did you ever get the folloeing question answered (im having the exact same problem. What did you do to fix it?:

Um, remove the lid. Take plastic (Saran) wrap, moisten the outer rim of the chamber, and place the plastic wrap over the top. The moist rim should create and maintain a perfect seal.

Actually what I did to fix this was the following. I got heavy duty weather stripping.. put it on the rim of the terrarium. I bought a peice of plexi-glass from work and used that as the lid. Then i just misted the sides of the terrarium lightly enough to get a tiny bit of condensation and now my humidity is steady at 91% all the time.
