All you need is one of these:
1989 Yamaha Vmax (145 Horsepower, Liquid Cooled, 1198cc V-4, w/Shaft Drive)
It does a quarter-mile in 10.37 seconds, reaching 129 MPH and has a top speed
of over 150 MPH. It does 0-60 in well under 2 seconds (also quite a rush),
but, you have to peel considerable rubber off the back tire to do that, so
I stick with the 10-89 source of adrenalin instead.
   
  
I got it yesterday and I've already driven it about 130 miles.
The above is the true mileage... The bike has been stored in a heated garage
and never driven for the past 7 years and had very little use over the 9 years prior to that.
I am the 3rd owner. I stole this bike for only $3050 and could easily
flip it for at least $4500 in a heartbeat, but I love it too much to sell it.
Yes, the bike is 16 years old, BUT, It runs and drives like brand new and looks almost new too.
...In 1996 Yamaha was forced to redesign and De-tune the V-4 down to 102 Horsepower,
so I wouldn't want a a post 1995 one... Lots of people are pretty disappointed with
their newer Vmax when they get blown off by an older one. 
If you wanna know more about this awesome muscle-bike, Google it... there are hundreds of reviews you could read.
It's been called "The Arnold Schwarzenegger of motorcycles" among other clever prideful names and remarks.
As you can tell, I'm pretty pumped, but way in the back of my mind I have visions of
some asshole running a stop sign and getting me killed.
For that reason, I don't plan to do a lot of miles on it, just taking it out a couple of times a week for a one, two or three hour thrill-ride.

I plan to die from falling out of an airplane while peaking on 10 grams of mushrooms with no parachute, then crashing into a house in suburbia. Well I don't exactly plan to, but that'd be my preferred method of death.

Nice Bike. got my tempory bike but to get the real deal you have to take some class thing and they only offer the class once a year and it is damn near impossible to get in so i have renewed my temps like 3 times now.

I've beeen riding bikes for years... Haven't owned one since 1986.
Here, where I am, there's a state-run safety course, a 2 day deal...
They do it rain or shine, 3 times a week (6 days) from April through October.
It was the probably the best $249 I've spent in a long time. I called,
booked my course, went and did it, got my certificate and it all took less than 14 days.

safe riding on the road because of it, but for the intermediate, which is half
the price, or the advanced, also half the price, you have to use your own bike.
My instructor told our group a little horror story...
A guy showed up to take the intermediate rider course on his brand new Triumph
Rocket III... (one of the only bikes out there that will beat mine). He had bought it 6
weeks prior for $16,000 and he dumped it in one of the exercises.
Over $2000 damage, and he was unable to complete the course. The bike was too fucked up to drive it...
The guy was in tears. NO WAY AM I TAKING THOSE COURSES ON MY VMAX!!!
You really should do whatever you can to get into that safety course. It could very well save your life one day.

no i have respect for the safty courses but they do not offer them more then once a year it is a 2 weekend course and they are booked. i have been trying to get into one everytime they have them for 3 years.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to put a Vmax on the track w/out doing MAJOR suspension, wheel and tire mods,
as well as changing the pipe height to allow even more lean-ability.
...but, for less the cost of a new zx6r, you could turn the Vmax into a bike that
would blow it away on the track, or anywhere.

Nice bike, Meister! I used to own a Honda CBR 600 F2. It was a '93 model that was white with blue and red designs on it. That bike was so freaking fast! I scared myself on it quite a number of time. Be real careful and watch out for all of those crazy fuckers that are constantly on their cell phones and not payin attention to the road. They will kill the hell out of you, so stay on your guard, man.
