I have a working NES system that came out the same year I was born, but my PS2 can't even work for 2 years.

nintedo makes quality products
i left a n64 controler with a rumble back in it out in the snow and had to wait like 2 months for the snow to thaw to find it
both still works great :laugh:

I would agree with you performance-wise.

Fun and playability-wise, I'd agree with you up to the PS2 and GC. Mine works fine, plus the game selelction is so much better.

that's jacked up to give it to goodwill... my uncle had this pos lexmark printer that printed like shit, and was all jacked up and was like "well, i'll take it to goodwill" and i was like "that's jacked up to do" and he was all like "why?" and i had to explain to him "look, some poor person is going to buy that thing, then spend a bunch of money on ink, and then thier going to find that they just dropped $50 on a printer that dont even work"


but yea, NES still bumps, it doesnt have any movable parts like the new systems do. Also, back in the day, all the electronics were very basic, and had less chance of breaking down... come to think of it, i've never come across a nes that didnt work (although some required more of the pre-game warm up routine than others)

NES's are great, i love having to dick around for 10 minutes before i play a video game :grin:.. i've probably spent more time trying to get the games to play than i have playing them
it always sucks when your all like "oh hell yea, i'm gonna play this game" and you finaly get it working, and then your playing it, and are like "hmm, i wanna play something else"

my zelda did that, i got to the last guy, and i was like "oh hell yea" and then i saved it, cause i died, and i was like "i'll play this later." so the next time i went to play it, all my saved games were gone. :mad:

oh, and it did it EVERY TIME. so i had to beat the whole game in one shot cause i was all paranoid it would just freeze... come to think of it, i never beat that copy of zelda..

I'm the only person who can get my NES to work most of the time. There is something jinky with the connector and when you insert a game you have to do it *just right* otherwise the power light will blink and it will get all glitchy.

But it still works after all these years.

I lost interest in video games but when I did play I was always loyal to Nintendo. I was all about the Super Nintendo.

i dont not have my origanal NES but i bought one 5 years back and i also got a new internal 72 prong thingy so it works much better... once in a while it glitches but its pretty trippy so i dont mind

One of my good friends did that with soooo many of his games once he turned into a stoner. He has some excellent games, too... Final Fantasy, all the Dragon Warrior games. Probably all of his old issues of Nintendo Power magazine, too.

Final Fantasy is the shit, especially Final Fantasy 3.

I have like 100 old Nintendo Power magazines boxed up somewhere. It's a blast from the past looking at old issues. They don't make vidya games like they used to.

what are some good gamecube games? we have a ps2 and GC here right now, as soon as i finish ff7 i want to play another game like zelda (n64). any ideas? I can't wait for the new one coming out this fall
