Worm casting prep

Does worm casting require any prep, pasturization etc...?

I would suggest pasteurization. I experimented once with combining BRF, Vermiculite, worm castings, and composted cow dung in jars with syringe inoculation. I pressure sterilized the jars once, let them sit for 24 hours, then sterilized again, just in case some contams hatched. Had some really big, powerful mushrooms.
