They look ok, and they don't look like trichocereus seedlings to me! The white you are seeing are indeed the "white flufs". And with baby peyote's they look indeed like spines instead of hairs, as they grow older the spiney look disappears. Nothing to worry about. looks like you're doing fine. Good luck with those.

you take care because peyotes can't stand as much sun as pedros do... i don't know there in netherlands but here they would die...

well its not as wet as it looks, there is normaly alot less condensation. the soils ends up no wetter then a regular pot with some foil ove it.
also i put superol in the water to fight fungus.

What about this seedling, I have about 8 of them and they don't look very peyote like, though maybe it's just because they are so young.(1 week or less since they sprouted)
Is it normal for them to look tall and thin? Perhaps they thicken out over time...
I sure hope they gave me the right seeds! :cuss:

Here are my Peruvians which look very similar at this stage.

The Peyote actually began to germinate before the Peruvians, however this may because they get more space on the heat pad than the Peruvians do.
8 alleged Peyote
10 alleged Peruvians thus far.

I had one or two of my peyotes look like that (out of 95). Basically, they just didn't get any sun and grew tall, trying to find the light. The two I have are still pretty gangly looking after 7 weeks, but they look healthy and should fill out, as should yours. I can't say for sure whether or not yours are peyote, but if they are, I wouldn't worry too much as long as they are a nice green.

id agree with Plate #1 just cuz i didnt even use a humidity tent. Just sprayed the soil once a day to keep moist. But thats just my thought if it works for you why change it!

Thanks Jay, I'm pretty sure they are indeed peyote, I think they just need to fill out, some of the others are a little more short and stocky like vertigo's.

Humidity tents can work very well, depending upon your growing conditions, with condensation being no problem. Generally Lophophora seedlings should look globular and somewhat darker. They will fill out after a while, but it's best to give them enough sun from the start rather than when you see signs of trouble.
